Located near Grand Rapids, Mich., Commercial Tool & Die (Alpine Twp.) as well as Walker Tool & Die (Walker)had their request approved to operate in a Tool & Die Renaissance Recovery Zone.
These recovery zones provide significant savings through a tax abatement. Most of these abatements last either 5, 10, or 15 years.

It should be noted, up until about one month ago only tool and die companies that had more than 50 full-time employees could qualify for the abatement. That is no longer the case.
