Michigan Approves Green Components Maker into Energy Renaissance Zone
The state of Michigan has approved St. Clair (Eastern MI area) as a Renewable Energy Renaissance Zone for Energy Components Group, precision machining and fabricator of alternative energy components.
"ECG is anticipating the creation of 250 new jobs and investments of over $20 million in its new facility over the next five years. The company plans to acquire and install equipment over the next few months and initiate operations in the new plant by the end of 2009," according to a major Michigan media announcement.
Sample products ECG manufacturers include generator mounts, torque arms and more for wind energy. They also make HSS housings and cylinders for Solar as wells as alternative energy vehicle components.
