Michigan Castings and Machining Company Buys Ohio Foundry
Located in the shadows of the new green megaplex (former Ford assembly plant) in Wixom, Diversified Machine has announced their deal to buy a foundry in Columbus, Ohio.
A division of multi-casting plants owner, Intermet, the foundry will give them around 370,000 square feet of castings capability.
Founded in 2005 by a trio of partners (Stephen Bay, Bruce Swift & Shankar Kiru), this move gives Diversified Machine some apparently much-needed capacity for upcoming orders. In addition to iron and aluminum casings, they also provide machining and assembly services.
If you are located anywhere in the Midwest, chances are you're close to a Diversified plant. They have three locations in Michigan, one in Wisconsin and another in Indiana.
