Marketing & PR
Fascinated by sectors of manufacturing, primarily the tool and die industry, I noticed a niche that could prove to fulfill a need, promote North American tooling and inform the public that understands very little about the importance of a strong, vibrant part of society that “makes things”. More than that, an industry that practically makes 100% of the tangible products we use in our everyday lives. It’s been proven that the manufacturing industry provides the greatest option when it comes to stimulating and maintaining a prosperous economy. In economist-speak, it has the strongest multiplier of any sector.
Attracted to perception, trends, information dissemination and processing while working in a sales & marketing capacity in tooling, a few things stood out to me;
• A healthy tooling industry and commitment to our engineering & manufacturing base is, and was, absolutely necessary to the economic, societal and national security well being of our past, present & future.
• Extreme competition and disadvantages have forced many toolers and tooling-related companies to push resources towards machine, automation, engineering and other manufacturing divisions of their business and understandably so. However, this has created a market for an experienced, knowledgable and creative company to assist them in sales, marketing, public relations consulting innovation and implementation. A company like Lintrio.
• Tool and die, metal stamping, precision machining, injection mold and other sectors critical to manufacturing are often misunderstood not only by the general public, but even more so by governmental agencies. This is the industry that makes practically every single tangible product you can imagine. Think about the significance of that.
• Protectionism is alive and well in our global playing field and our elected officials, for the most part, haven’t stood up while many countries have preyed on our jobs and work by allowing tarriffs, subsidies and other restrictive measures that have damaged the U.S. tooling industry.
The marketing and branding of many toolers has an excellent chance to supplement their strategies of growth–if handled by sales & marketing professionals that are creative, passionate and built on integrity. Marketing and sales are interdependent. Sales without marketing, and even a strategy in place for branding and communications is an uphill battle.
So what does a company, such as those in tooling, that must committ scarce resources to technology and engineering do when it comes to sales & marketing strategies? Hiring somebody full-time is expensive–salary, employment taxes, health insurance, benefits and so on. Not ideal if you need to remain flexible and nimble enough to sustain operations.
Companies without a professional salesperson, marketing or public relations are at a disadvantage to those that have the resources to commit to these divisions. However, there is a solution provider that can handle each, or just two and even one. The best part is that you can have a respectable, honest, creative and fiercely loyal comapny do all of this while you save considerable amounts of money and time.
Lintrio is the market leader for North American tool and die, metal stamping die, precision machining and other tooling companies looking for a flexible alternative to the rigid, costly and inneffective measures their competition is taking.
