Job Opportunity: Progressive Die Designer

August 3, 2009
By Joe Brown

Position: Manufacturing Engineer, Progressive Tool & Die Designer

Company: Precision Castparts Corp.

About Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC): Manufacturer of investment castings (ex. artificial hips & knees, airplane engines, wind turbine blades, titanium and stainless steel parts…) , forgings (seamless pipe for energy markets, industrial gas turbines) and fastener products (highly precise components for aerospace, racing, farming, transportation, construction equipment…).

PCC is located in Portland, Oregon. They were started in 1949 and are listed on the NYSE too (Ticker Symbol: PCP). Pretty neat to see an American company that has a trimming die operation in their business model with a somewhat shocking share price, around $81 on 8/3/09.

For the time being, you can view the job description here but it may not be up for long.
